4 years have passed!

Here is Flatuleitor, or Futureal, or whatever. For now, I'm just Darío. That's what I was called anyways.

I was reading some of the posts I have written here and it's funny how different thing change, for better or worse. Of course, if I have the time to reflect back to my past it's because I have some free time in the present.

In 2019 I was this close to go back to end it. I was living with my girlfriend and things were not getting easier by the day. You know, living in an island is no joke, DEFINITELY NOT KOKOMO. Things were very complicated but after some months of struggle we could adjust to this new reality. Then, COVID happened.

It's funny and I genuinely laugh now but that year was something without any precedent. I was alone in that island for the most part of 2020 trying to be kept sane, with no satisfactory results. To make a long story short, I moved from Porvenir to Punta Arenas in late 2021.

So now I moved to a new house with my girlfriend and things got real. Real adulthood.

In one of those moments of extreme sadness and desperation I remembered. I remembered about that God.

That God.

That God that I so often mocked and rejected for so many years.

That God that gave me the gift of music and I didn't put to His service.

And I called on Him.

And He showed up. In early 2023.

He definitely did.

Maybe in the future I could go into more details, but the important part is that without any hesitation I can say that I found Jesus and He found me.

He changed my heart - so I could live right,

Changed my mind - so I could think right,

Changed my mouth - so I could talk right,

Changed my feet - so I could walk right,

I kept on searchin' till I found the King of Kings.

I was so happy that I immediately started Ableton and recorded an arrangement of a hymn I used to sing in my childhood. The song is called in Spanish "Jesús es mi rey soberano" or "Jesus is my sovereign king" and after some months I uploaded it.

He is and always be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He gave me peace, made me whole, gave me a beautiful life and I will always be grateful.

That's it. I'm out. See you all in 3 years.

FUTUREAL

I'm surprised how I've completely forgotten about this blog.

Anyways. Next.

I wasn't interested in songwriting for over a year. Some friends were shocked to hear that I didn't want to write new songs. I couldn't believe either.

But as usual, I didn't push it and just let things flow until they get to their natural conclusion.

And they did.

I have been fiddling around with some synthesizers on my computer for like 3 months and I came up with some interesting stuff.

One of those songs was called "Sealed Away" because the sounds made me see being trapped behind the ice in an abandoned wide landscape.

The thing is that I didn't want to sign that as "Flatuleitor". Why? Because even though I've loved all what I did musically this year, I feel this is a new beginning. Therefore I needed a new nickname.

My second name is Aaron, so after trying a few more names I stuck with it. And I published "Sealed Away" by Aaron.

Previously, I thought about being "El Escultor" (The Sculptor).

Didn't really do it, did it?
Then, I was Aaron.
This guy is conscious about his situation

But after publishing the song on many platforms, a friend ask me: Why tf is there an Italian guy in your Spotify profile? That's when something had to change.

I went through a whole mf bunch of names, each more ridiculous and pretentious than the other.

Finally, I thought of the reason for this project, and why I'm here at Tierra del Fuego. The time that I have been here fluctuates a lot in terms of fun, experiences. But mostly fun. I consider myself to be a fun person.

It's unavoidable to compare the different times I've been in Santiago and here and one thing is certain. Time does fly when you're having fun. But not fun in the sense of drinking some bottles or going to parties and banalities. Fun in everyday situations, in what you cook, in the jokes, the music, sharing your life with the person you love. And the sea in front of you.

We've even got some damn flamingos!
This future I'm living now is the future I've wanted to live for a long time. Now it is happening. This future is real. Futureal.

Futureal is also an Iron Maiden song. So what. Fuck everything. Fuck Blazey on "Virtual XI".

Anyways, I decided to go with FUTUREAL from now on and do music in the Synthwave/Outrun fashion. It feels just right.

Now everything is purple, black, sky blue, and grids.

My memories got sealed away. Not erased, just frozen in the cold of Tierra del Fuego.

Santiago is history

Since I'm living in Tierra del Fuego now, I'd like to take a moment to think back what has happened to me and how I ended up living here.

In Santiago, after I realized Noviembre X was history, I struggled very hard to find a decent job as an English teacher.

For months.

I did classes in some government offices, in factories, institutes... But nothing permanent as I wanted.

Little to no money, I had to sell my instruments. SHIT. I get sad again just thinking about it.

Gone.

All but gone except for the guitar.
So, as I was saying, I did classes in many places and I spent the whole day running around, getting on buses, the metro, walked by foot long distances.

At least I have nice pictures to show for.

The Commerce Building, I used to do classes there
Parque Forestal
Parque Forestal from another angle

Archivo Nacional building

Santiago has taste, miraculously

I used to walk here as well, just listening to music

Some highway. I used to do classes nearby

Parque Forestal with some basic filtering

Santa Lucia hill, downtown Santiago. I used to do classes just in front of it.

There are some cool artists in Santiago, predictably

Museum of Fine Arts of Santiago

Some hills outside of Santiago. Clear days, as I recall

In front of a factory I used to do classes at

I also had a lot of problems on my last months in fucking Santiago. I got engaged in a fight on the street with a drunken asshole who hit me with a glass bottle on my forehead. It was only centimeters next to my temple. I could've been seriously injured.

So I hit the motherfucker with MY fists on HIS head while he was on the floor. I overheard Paulina on the distance saying something about "stopping".

I had to take a sick permit at work, so I stopped making money for a week.

And so on. The problems didn't stop.

We decided to study something else, I went with International Commerce and she with Accounting.

But, the first day we noticed that there was something wrong. We weren't making enough money by March as we wanted and tried. To live in Santiago by our own wasn't a viable option.

So we decided living in Punta Arenas, Magellan Region, with Paulina's family for a time while we got in our feet.

A couple of days after, she gave me contact information about a job in Tierra del Fuego, in the same region where we wanted to go and live at. So, I sent my CV. And I called.

A week after that I got a call from the school offering me the position with very good income. So I said to them "hell yeah! I am traveling to Tierra del Fuego this weekend to live there and everything".

I bought the tickets and sold everything I had in Santiago.

I sold everything except for the guitars that I used to record the Overlord albums and the Noviembre X EP.

Including my Yamaha cassette deck

And my tapes
These tapes as well

I didn't sell her
See you Santiago!  NOT!

Fuck it, I'm back

It's been almost a year... again. A long long time... again. Simply because I tend to forget I have this blog. It's really incredible how much stuff can happen in a short time when there are other hundreds of dull hours, months, years, etc.

I have made my calculations and there's been almost 9 months (I wasn't pregnant) since my last post in this place. I came up by it by looking at old Overlord posts over the internet and given that there are not many places talking about it, I ended up here.

And??? Well???

Well. I am not living in Santiago anymore.

Say whaaat?
I am living in Porvenir, a little town in the south of Chile, in Tierra del Fuego province, just in front of the Strait of Magellan. AND IT'S COLD LIKE IT'S NOT A JOKE!

I came here to teach English in a little school and save money to leave Chile for good. I moved here with Paulina, my dear. We have lived here since April this year and it's been quite difficult in a strange land so far away from "civilization". Hell, we are literally living in an island.

2 years. Really??

I'm afraid so. I don't even know how I ended up here. I don't even remember the last point or the last entry for this blog.

I have been very very busy lately. At least in 2017.

At the end of 2016 and after been in several bands playing FUCKING SOFT ROCK I ultimately decided to write some songs again and start a new project. Yeah, the project was soft rock with more "aggressive" undertones. It was called NOVIEMBRE X.

I know it is a crappy logo

After 2 months of being enclosed in my bedroom, I came up with 5 songs that I taught a friend who decided to join me. After that, I found a vocalist (girl, female vocalist you know?). She was from Venezuela. Her voice was fine but after a few months I decided to find another vocalist.
I found her at work. We had a lot of fun rehearsing the songs.
After some weeks I decided to record an EP and to do so I needed a drummer. So I put an advertisement on the internet and a very skilled and proficient drummer came along. With that lineup we decided to enter a studio to record.

From L to R: Yours truly, Mane, Tael
We recorded everything ourselves with a little help from the studio's house engineer. Here you can watch part of the process:

Well. After the recording was done, I was very hopeful to "make it". But the lack of market in my dear country made further promotion impossible without big bags of cash.
I decided to move on. FUCK.

So I'm here 1 year later of all that.

1 year has passed and I haven't done anything considerable.

My mind is really confused now. I try to make something but it sounds repetitive.

I try to break to new styles but then I found out they're not my thing. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.

I don't even have time to pick up my guitar anymore. I have tried to make instrumentals made of electronical artifacts. But nothing.

Probably the inspiration will come back. But then I think: what's the use?

In the meantime I have things to show for. That's my consolation.

Gotta catch 'em all!

There's an old song from an old cartoon show that says something like:

"I wanna be the very best,
Like no one ever was..."

The guy had a goal, clearly.

THE WORKS II

After I fucking finally got the job in that band and after composing some songs, I decided that I didn't want to continue with them anymore. They were OK guys, not major problems with that. I didn't feel 100% in that band. It was an interesting month though.

Then I received a message from an old acquaintance saying that he wanted to make some music with me. He is into rap (a proper rapper4life) but he wanted to spin that thing around a little bit and give it a different feel. Apparently I was the man for the job. I know him and I know his musical sense (if you will) so I said yes, let's give it a shot. I began to think, and I thought "what if I put some good ole slap bass into it?" Let's see what happens.

A few days after, I received another message from another guy that I know from a 2012 death metal project that I had back then. He was the drummer and I have to say, he's a fucking boss behind the kit. It turns out that he is now picking some musicians to create this almighty metal band with different influences. I was more than glad and honored to be considered to be a part of such an ambitious (in the good sense) project, so obviously I said yes. At the moment he's trying to reunite those bad guys and when it's all set we will get together somewhere to unleash the seven fucking trumpets.

I'm also playing some cards with some girls around. Nothing serious. Music is my only commitment.

And that's it. Apart from partying the fuck out in the summer, whenever I can.

THE WORKS

Implying that the "secret of life" is a truth (and I'm not 100% on using that word), means that it's subjective to each individual.

Quoting Pilatos:

"...and what is truth? -not easy to define,
we both have truths, are yours the same as mine?"

In that sense, I sense I have found mine. It's quite simple, actually.

Is all about motion. Keep wheels rolling.

It can be applicable to anyone. But that will depend on what is the emphasis each individual puts in his life/life purpose. Yes, there are some who don't aspire to much, and it's alright by all means. If for someone to be happy is to get a job, go to work, take a good shit and go to sleep (quoting George Carlin) is not a problem and it's fine by me. But as I said before, for me, to stay in motion is essential.

After I was done with Overlord, I began to look for a band in which to play with. Last Saturday I went to an audition (I have to earn credibility, FUCKING STILL). I'm still waiting for the results.

I got an offer to leave home and get a job and turn my life around. I'm still waiting for the results.

WAITING.

In the meantime, I play. The. Game.

About Overlord and Technical Thrash in general

It's been a while. But why not posting for more than a year? Clear simple.

I forgot it.

Now, what happened to that project I was talking about last year? During September and November I got some time to be free to record the album from scratch while adding ideas from previous outtakes. Unfortunately those outtakes where unsuitable for extreme technical metal. Even when they were more honest, they couldn't make the cut and were left safe in the oblivion ship.

Well, the recording process was flawless, I did know what to do and I wanted to do it quick. Now, the solos were a total different story. The thing is, that most of the songs I wrote were from 1+ years ago when I had a very different mindset (play speed-light fast as complex as possible) so, at the time of laying down the solos I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK TO DO. I tried a lot of things and a lot of approaches but the background was so chaotic that no matter what I tried, the music was going to be nothing but messy, chunky monsters. After dealing with them for several weeks, I decided to improvise it all, record it and pick the best bits and improve them extending the melodies (I always do this, this time I left more room for improvisation).

After that, the vocals. Since this project started a year ago I didn't quite know what "voice" to use. Some good friend of mine recommended me to listen to all the Overlord albums and infer the kind of voice that would be the logic progression from them. So after I tried different ones, I stayed with the low register mixed with the high ones. I followed the same protocol I always used (I even recorded with the same microphone I used in "Tolerance Collapse").

About the lyrics? I tried to be as percussive as I could to inject even more dynamics to the music. I ended up using my voice as another instrument using a lot of consonants for the mid parts.

Oh, and I DIDN'T WRITE ANY LYRICS!

And I didn't even bother too much about the artwork. The idea was simplistic. Minimalist.

Blast from the future?

And the day came, it was last week or so.

And here I am.

So what about Overlord? It's over. There was a time when I wanted to project this project but not anymore. My tastes changed for better. Honestly I can't see myself playing Thrash again in the near future. but there's one more reason.

I feel like musically I did enough for Thrash Metal. I STARED AT THE LIMITS OF THE GENRE.

So why not playing Death Metal, the logical next step? Because for the most part is tasteless, spiceless, deathly-sounding (could that be the reason of the name of the genre?), it doesn't have the "party" vibe I love. And I'm all about life and creation.

At the moment for me Thrash is a dead-end. That's why it went to shit in the 90's, came back in the 2000's and it's sort of gone again. You can't be partying and philosophying at the same time (at least not in the literal, most-associated sense) it gets weird and preachy. And we all know a party can't last forever, there's a time where everybody falls asleep, wake up again and come back.

I still listen to a lot of extreme music, even when not as much as before, but I still do it sometimes. It is actually true that thing about thrash; it's until death.

"Tolerance Collapse" Review #1

Self-released (2014)

Rating: 8/10

Overlord is a one-man thrash band that I really enjoy listening to, and have done since the Tiempos Antares debut which emerged in 2011. Since then, the one and only multi-instrumentalist known as Flatuleitor has carved out quite a career, resulting in a trio of albums, with this one following on from 2013’s Blackout.

The man rises every morning out of Santiago, Chile, and believe me, this is the sort of thrash metal you should get up for too. Forget the current batch of pretenders; Overlord is a sneering, dry-throated and nefarious project which comes complete with some truly staggering soloing and thrash compositions that blend grisly black metal and technical old school thrash metal in the vein of old Kreator and the likes.

Considering this guy was born in 1991, I can only applaud his knowledge, maturity and passion for thrash metal, and bow down and worship some of the blistering numbers he has to offer here. Clearly pissed off with the world, Flatuleitor finds time to let off steam amid a barrage of evil drums, raw stripped down guitars and earthy bass, but without sounding like all the crust-covered, punk-influenced black metal bands doing the rounds. Instead, this is best described as no frills yet thrilling thrash metal.

This release has everything you’d want from a thrash metal album; the chugging riffs which make way for starker practice to a progressive bass ramble, those vicious, ash-coated vocals which come to life on the likes of ‘Don’t Fuck With Science’, the snarling opener ‘Karadima Boys’ which vents anger and condemnation at the Catholic church, and the technical prowess of ‘Modern-Days Skeptic Flux’.

It’s one of those albums that deserves recognition, because I can only guess at what this guy could be capable of with a more substantial team behind him. If – like me – you’ve been brought up with primitive thrash metal then Tolerance Collapse really is going to be your thing, because it boasts clever lyrics, some superb riffs, solos and fluent structures which enable the record to haunt the ears like some malevolent spectre. While old school Kreator comes to mind, I’m also hearing the likes of Protector as well as Sadus within those scathing rhythms and bestial vocals.

While there may be countless bands called Overlord, make sure you lend an ear to this one. As one-man bands go, this is mightily impressive thrash metal. Laced with melody and hinting at death metal with shades of blacker influence, this is at times a progressive extreme metal experience that only gives us a glimpse as to what this man is capable of.

Note: I read this review months ago and I thank you Neil for your comments about the album. It means a lot to me, thank you.

Reasons to EXIST

Get ready for the metaphors.

Every individual has a sort of engine inside. It drives you through life and it works sort of decently in the different roads you have to pass through because sometimes to drive in a highway it's not the same as driving through the dessert or through a fucking swamp (got it?).

You'd need different kinds of engines for different scenarios and that's the reason why there are so many different types of cars. Some are better for traveling through city, others for the countryside and the like.

So here it comes the problem. You only have ONE engine. And which type of engine it is? I have no idea. Do I know what kind of engine I have? I'm almost sure but not 100%. It is very important to know what type of engine you have in order to know which type of road to take. You can't go to the mountain in a mini-cooper or drive around the streets in a fucking tank.

I have thought many times since I was a little kid that if something happened to my fingers or to my hands so they have to be removed or something, I'd have 2 choices: go to the countryside in solitude and cultivate the land for ever or kill myself. I wouldn't float around like a dumb motherfucker with a goddamn thing in my hands to play the guitar. Probably I wouldn't take the shit that involves to be in that situations so probably I'd go for the second option.

So the only thing that really makes me happy is to play and listen to music. But mainly to play an instrument. I'm free while I have the strength. I make the rules. It gives me power and control. But not in the sense we are used to:

If you look closely you can see that the guy in the picture is actually happy.

It gives me power in the sense that I'm able to control the world around me, escape from reality maybe (personal shit right there).

At least that was the way I used to feel. I have to say I'm under a BIG-FUCKING-MASSIVE-MONSTER-ASS VORTEX OF STRESS. So I have no energy to play a fucking string. That's why my music sucks so hard recently. But that's o' right, I'm in the final year of my career studying to be an English Teacher so they have to put a lot of weight on us. The problem is I'm always too tired to play the guitar (or the bass).

But fortunately that brings some results:

Living and trying to EXIST.

Update #6

I cancelled everything for the 3rd time.

I don't like that music. I don't like MY music. I don't like the way it sounded, the arrangements, the speed, the character and the textures of the songs, even though some people did like the "demos".

I don't feel the joy and the pleasure to write music as I always have. I don't felt the CONNECTION with my music, almost if they weren't my children, unlike what happened with other songs from other albums. I don't felt they are part of me, that they don't belong to me. It is strange since I have acquired some ability to write riffs by practice through almost 6 years of being into Thrash Metal.

Thrash Metal. Once it was part of my existence. I would say my everything. I lived to play solos like in the records I used to listen the most and live the life of a "thrasher" was an inspiration and a way of living. All my friends were part of that at that time.

Through my records with Overlord I tried to develop a level of mastery by my own. Experimenting with everything. Through all the albums I made I tried to achieve that level until last year I made the effort of my life and recorded "Tolerance Collapse" which I feel is the most important achievement of my life. But that's all. What comes after...

I didn't want to recognize it but I have to admit it with sheer honesty. Thrash Metal has boundaries. When I was a teenager I thought Thrash was infinite and endless in all its power and aggression, and I continued thinking the same until very recently when I saw it clearly: there it comes a point where you reach the end of the road and I have to pick sides:

  • Go back and walk it again with more knowledge
  • Fuck it all and move on to the next level
  • Break my head until stroke trying to find the new shape for Thrash to come

I cancelled the album because I tried new harmonies and textures that just didn't work. So it is very frustrating at this point. VERY FUCKING FRUSTRATING.

Will those motherfuckers that download music on the Internet know the shit us musicians have to take to make music? All the emotional instability that causes to create new paths? All the pain and joy deprivation?

Update #5

A long time has passed and I probably will continue leaving more empty spaces in this blog.

This is what has occurred with the goddamn record:

  • I have the tracklist done, and I hope it won't be any more modifications. I sincerely hope so.
  • The concept for the album is almost done, I have to think about it even more.
  • I have some good riffs already laid down on Ableton and some of them are quite novel.
  • In fact, I have started with 7 tracks of 8 that I want for the album. I have some of the names for each one of them.
  • I've got the basic structures for each of those 7 tracks, I only have to order them and fuck around a little more.

I have been recording with a plugin "THD" or something, and it has some good sounds and presets. In general terms it's pretty awesome, except for the FX's which are not as good as the amp models. The problem is that for the palm-mute technique it doesn't represents what I'm actually playing, it sounds the same as it was played with "hand-open".

So I'm thinking of playing with the reliable good old ToneLab. I have the sound in my mind, so it's only a matter of dedication and patience of tuning the pedal board and finding the one that comes closer to what's on my mind. After that I can modify the shit out of it with my arsenal of plugins.

Update: 4#

I'll begin writing some lyrics. I'm not satistied with the demo recordings I've been doing so far. Something is missing. I don't know exactly what, but I'll find out.

In the meantime, I'm listening some fucking Cranium.

I have the idea in my head. I have to take it out.

That's it. Flatuleitor out.

Refinement #2

All right, more refinement.

I realized some days ago that what I need this year is utter destruction Thrash fucking Metal. I feel I'm ready to record a sick ass album. I realized that at this moment in my life before I finish my program as a student I seriously need to put all my musical knowledge down (and acquire some others) in this record, for history.

So, this concept "Past, Present and Future" didn't suit my purposes right now, maybe it can be useful in a couple of years on.

And I thought it could be a good mixture from the let's say "destructive" side to the "analytical/insightful" one. It is also related with the kind of music I want to do and the kinds of riff I want to lay the fuck down here.

I have some titles already (which are quite graphic sometimes) and a bunch of riffs recorded and the sound I want is almost ready.

So it's time to get inspired and write some fucking ill music.

That's it. Flatuleitor out.

First Univ Week

This is my last year before I graduate from English Pedagogy with all my degrees and shit. I'm very excited and happy at the same time, I have great teachers and the atmosphere is quite nice. This last year demands a lot from us students, we have to take some fucking hard exams to fulfill the requirements provides by the State.

Anyway, back to our business which is music, not pedagogy let me tell you.

I think I have the key for this record in terms of concepts and riffage mainly, but the actual process I think it will be more relaxed than previous efforts. I mean, the last four years had been like frantic writing/recording all the time. Not this time.

I want to take an actual time to actually write the songs, without leaving any detail behind. Obviously in previous albums I'd been paying attention to that progressively through the years, but now I really want to take the shit out big fucking time.

So the process will be a lot slower. It is also because, as I said in the first paragraph, this year University will be a lot harder, so I have to be responsible too. I don't want to spend extra time to complete my courses. No fucking way.

That's it. Flatuleitor out.

Changing Plans

It's not that I'm an insecure guy who can't keep an opinion/decision more than 2 days. Look, us people who create things first of all have a notion. Then that notion is sort of put to test through, in this case, my criteria. Sometimes that notion is proved either not to be "cool enough" for me, or it needs some twist (which sometimes ends changing the whole thing). It's about finding as many new "paths" as humanly possible.

This way of doing things is very related to the scientific method. Why? well, if you remember from earlier on this post and if you are quite familiar with the scientific method that should be enough to make my point. And if not, well ... why ever bother.......
Nobody is even reading this shit anyways....
That's somehow a relief.

But relief from what or whom? The fans?? The magazines?? Hahahahahhaha.... ha... and motherfucking ha.

Anyway. Fuck it. I'm changing the name of this shitasspissing album. Is gonna be called "Beyond". As simple as that. Go beyond space and time and possibly include all the material I posted in the previous post in some weird way.

For me is more exciting the new name. Is more "open", more "broad". It's not so "tight" as the previous concept that I had.

About the sound, I finally gave up with all the shit I tried and decided to stay with Amplitube and created my own preset and I learnt a very interesting trick with it.

Aaaaand finally I have the title for the first track that probably will stay all the way through this writing process:

"Presto Fortissimo". A little heads-up: It going to be intense.

That's it. Flatuleitor out.

Distortion and Setup Issues

I'm beginning the writing process, but before that I want to ensure myself that I'm having the right distortion for the album. Currently I'm using Amplitube 3 for the rhythm guitars as seen below:

Rhythm Guitar 1

Rhythm Guitar 2
But I have a problem. It doesn't deliver the distortion I want (even when I tried every possible configuration, using different amps models, stomp distortions, FX, etc.).

I want a clear direct distortion with a "medium size" bottom, I'm looking for definition in this record, not too much distortion of fuzz, maybe some crunch, but not too much and Amplitube 3 doesn't satisfy me. I like the bottom and some of the response of those two amps I'm showing right now, but they don't have enough definition for my taste.

Look at that shit. As useless as it gets.

Now the question is: Can't you spend money on good high-end amps, you cheap bastard? The answer is: I'm already spending a lot of money to pay for my education and it always has been my policy (in Overlord at least) that all has to be "home sound". Maybe when I'm finishing my career I'll buy a fucking Mesa triple rectifier.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of using my brother's Vox multieffect. Maybe that's the answer. But I have used it for the last 3 records and I want to change a little production wise.

Or... maybe microphone the Frontman 212R I have at home? I fucking have the sound in my head, I just have to find the nearest shit to it.

Maybe it's time to go more classy.
That's it. Flatuleitor out.

Busy Evening...

(Pilot script for what became DEATH OF NATIONS)

New Album

Honestly, I'm over this shit.

But what can I do? I HAVE to record another album, otherwise ANXIETY WILL KILL ME. Seriously.
I have no idea about the concept, the sound, if the album will be more Death than Thrash, or if I will put some Jazz into it.

I have no idea about the lyrics or the topic anyway whatsoever.

Today, March 1st, I woke up early with this thing in my mind. I revisited some old drums sounds in my VSTs and I took my guitar and I tried to get a cool sound, but I don't even know where it goes musically. I need to get some new strings soon.

Everything I'm certain about right now it's that the album will be in the key of D minor, you know, 2 semitones from the standard 440.

Any updates will be posted. I will keep track of EVERYTHING (I hope) here.

Meanwhile, I'm just listening "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" of Genesis.

After listening to this masterpiece, I realize that the album will be more melodic and aggressive than the previous ones and I will add some Jazz passages and flavor to it, maybe it won't sound "mainstream", but do I really ever wanted to sound like that?

That's it. Flatuleitor out.
